Job description

PR Head - Desun Hospital and Heart Institute 

Kolkata based corporate healthcare group with hospitals in multiple locations, Pharma companies and Education. We have a 300 bed hospital in Kolkata (which is now under expansion to 750 beds with the addition of the cancer unit) & another 300 bed hospital operational in Siliguri. We are looking for a PR - Head for our group consisting of hospitals, pharmaceuticals, reference labs and education. Candidate must be less than 45 years of age, with at least 10 years of hands on experience in Branding, communication and media Management.

Job Description

  • Overseeing Corporate Brand Management, Marketing & Communication functions for the Group .
  • Develop, plan & implement Corporate Strategies (Brand / Marketing) – consistent with the overall goals & objectives of the business taking into confidence the brand principles.
  • From Conceptualisation/Planning to Execution of: Brand/Product Campaigns (ATL & BTL), Launches, Re-Launches, Contests, Reader Connect initiatives, Events & Promotions. Also developing Brand solutions / NEW IPR’s for group brands.
  • Internal & External: Group Branding & Marketing Communication (including PR)
  • Market Research & Analysis – periodic surveys to monitor/analyse: Brand Health Track / Product developments - specific to business needs & markets.
  • Develop, plan, implement & evaluate – Reader Connect Campaigns & Engagements.
  • Manage B2B communication including Advertisers/Clients, Ad agencies & Regional communities.
  • Develop, plan & manage/implement Group’s CSR initiatives aimed at taking up Socio-Economic causes to bring about awareness & change.
  • Media Planning & Buying (Print, TV, Radio, Outdoor & Social Media) for all Group campaigns/activities.
  • Conceptualise, design, and develop content, editing & production of the In-house Magazine in different languages, NEW Trade Magazine & CSR Newsletter.
  • Develop, Administer & Monitor: Brand Strategy & Budgets, SOPs, Process/Guidelines & Templates
  • Alliances & Tie-ups that augment business needs and add value to brand objectives.
  • Member of the National Leadership Team & other sub-groups.
  • Scope of operational responsibility – includes leading a team of over 8 - 10 professionals.

Skills required:

  • PG in Marketing / Mass Communication / Media / PR (full time course) from recognised University.
  • Strong logical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong leadership & team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Open to travelling.
  • Versatile, dynamic, curious.
