Disneynature's "Tiger" debuts on Disney+ Hotstar this Earth Day, April 22, 2024—15 years post the label's inaugural film, "Earth." Priyanka Chopra Jonas narrates, delving into the world of Ambar, a young tigress rearing her cubs in India's famed forests. "Being part of this project and narrating the story of such a magnificent animal from my country is truly an honor," Chopra Jonas expressed. "I've always felt a connection with tigers, especially the female—I relate to her protective instincts for her family. Ambar's journey resonates with every mother."
Directed by Mark Linfield, co-directed by Vanessa Berlowitz and Rob Sullivan, and produced by Linfield, Berlowitz, and Roy Conli, "Tiger" captures 1,500 days of filming, showcasing thrilling action and tender moments. The film streams on Disney+ Hotstar on Earth Day.
Accompanying "Tiger" is "Tigers on the Rise," narrated by Blair Underwood. This film celebrates tiger populations' resurgence and the efforts of vets, scientists, and community patrols striving for peaceful coexistence between tigers and people. Directed by Rob Sullivan and co-directed by Alistair Tones, it premieres alongside "Tiger" on Earth Day.
