Pepperfry, India’s top e-commerce platform for furniture and home decor, is excited to welcome back Alok Varman as Head of Supply Chain. In this role, Alok will be key to enhancing Pepperfry’s leadership in the industry by optimizing the supply chain and ensuring a seamless customer experience across all channels. His extensive knowledge of the company and proven expertise will be vital in driving continued growth.
With over 23 years of experience in strategic management, supply chain, and customer experience across various sectors including retail, e-commerce, and B2B/B2C wholesale, Alok is well-equipped for this role. As a founding member of Pepperfry, he played a crucial role in developing its logistics and warehousing infrastructure and expanding its experience stores.
Prior to his return, Alok served as COO at Isho.com in Bangladesh, enhancing customer experiences and leading the brand’s entry into India. He has also held significant roles at Wydr.in, Carnation Auto India, and Guthy-Renker LLC.
Known for his ability to spot opportunities and implement people-driven, tech-enabled processes, Alok is expected to elevate Pepperfry’s supply chain operations and reinforce its commitment to delivering exceptional furniture and home goods across India.
