The Maruti Suzuki Fronx offers a unique proposition to the sub-4 metre SUV segment, based on the Baleno hatchback with SUV-like styling. Now, Suzuki has disclosed its electrification plans for India, and in all probability, an all-electric variant of Fronx is in the works.
Maruti Suzuki could make minor design modifications to the Fronx EV to differentiate it from the ICE-powered model.
The interior shall possess an EV-specific instrument cluster and dials. Further, the Fronx EV could get a distinctive colour scheme and upholstery. Its feature list shall include 9-inch infotainment, wireless phone charger, 360-degree camera, and six airbags.
One can expect a sufficiently powerful electric motor and an enormous battery pack to offer an adequate long-distance capability. Additionally, the Fronx, a modern EV, should also have fast charging capabilities.
The Fronx EV shall fall in the segment similar to Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400. So will be the prices range between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
