Instagram has introduced a new feature called Blend, aimed at enhancing user engagement by allowing friends to share Reels privately or in groups. Through Blend, users can connect with friends via DMs, and both will see the same Reels in their respective feeds, eliminating the need to send Reels individually. This feature aims to bring back the personal touch to social media interactions, fostering deeper conversations and helping users discover Reels based on shared interests. Currently, Blend is an invite-only feature, meaning users can only start a Blend when the other person accepts the invitation. As Reels continue to grow in popularity, Blend is expected to boost engagement and encourage more time spent on the platform.
