McDelivery app is now in market

On 30th Jan a new ad released on McDonalds YouTube channel which is suggesting their delivery app.

Ad has been conceptualized by Leo Burnett and so far it got three lakh views.

Here one question strikes in our mind that will these viewers transform into downloaders also?

This question can be answered by raising another question that why users will fill their mobile space when they already have other food apps which provide more features. Now this has given us path to find our exact answer that is - what are the competitive advantages which MCdelivery app is providing over other food apps like Tapzo, Zomato, foodpanda and Swiggy?

On the concern of mobile space, Ankur Singla, founder and chief executive officer, Tapzo - the all in one app, says, “Most apps compete with WhatsApp for space."

On the concern of downloading barrier, Sridhar Ramanujam, founder and CEO, brand-comm, a brand consultancy, says, "I am not sure advertising of this nature will motivate the average consumer to download yet another app. Today consumers, like me, are already unhappy with the slow speed of their mobile services and are increasingly reluctant to try more apps unless there is a strong incentive or an imperative, recurring need to use that app. I feel this is really a brand promotion for takeaway and not so much an appeal to download the app.”

For creative, Harish Bijoor, brand expert and founder, Harish Bijoor Consults Inc. says, "The creative is sweet on execution but long on delivery, of the message of course."
